Presentation Training

Each year, Trout professionals attend thousands of company presentations—either at conferences or in one-on-one meetings with the investment community. While presenting in these settings has become fairly routine for many senior executives, the level of comfort and effectiveness as a presenter can vary widely. Whether we are preparing a new speaker on the corporate team or helping seasoned members unlearn bad habits or become proficient in new material, Trout is in an ideal position to help make the most of presentation opportunities with the investment community.

We tailor training to our client’s needs, utilizing sessions that work in real-time with presentation material. We identify managers’ areas of strength as speakers but also focus on habits or deficiencies that limit their impact as presenters or detract from the important messages.   We offer suggestions and techniques to overcome these during the training, and give the presenters the opportunity to incorporate that feedback during the session, including a “mock Q&A” session where Trout assumes the role of an investor or analyst asking the “tough questions.” We evaluate the answers, and then suggest wording to improve upon the responses in the future, all with the goal of maximizing our clients’ appeal to potential investors.
